CHI – Cultural Heritage Imaging and Storytelling
Our most recent podcast subject was actually a duo: Carla Schroer and Mark Mudge, the founders of a nonprofit called Cultural Heritage Imaging, or CHI. CHI’s mission, as stated on their website, is to drive “development and adoption of practical digital imaging and preservation solutions for people passionate about saving humanity’s treasures today, before they are lost.”
From Paleolithic caves to art museums and other historic sites around the world, Carla and Mark have worked up close with some of history’s most cherished artifacts, and have some fascinating things to say about the stories these physical objects tell. We were lucky enough to catch up with this “dynamic duo” just before they left for a 3-week trip to Berlin.
